I have stayed at the Fairmont six times. It is conveniently located near Santa Clara University -primary purpose of stays is to visit my son at SCU. The staff, particualrly the front door men and the bellmen are very cordial and helpful. Good value for the money
We have stayed primarily in the original tower and some of the rooms are showing signs of age and wear.

I visited the Signia By Hilton during my exploration of U.S. Lodgings, and while the valet service proved frustrating, the spacious, looked super fresh room offered a comfortable retreat. I enjoyed the lovely location, perfect for my adventures in San Jose.

Very nice setting, lively bar crowd. Piano player one night, jazz band the next. Room was spacious.
They overbooked our first night, we arrived late and got bumped to another hotel 15 miles away. It was a dive but the only place in the valley left with an opening. Fairmont paid the nights stay. They should have attempted to call us as soon as they knew, we would have stayed at sfo instead of driving down to San Jose. Night desk manager was a bit condescending. They got us back in the second night. Beware of overbooking.

Beautiful building, great location for the concert, room was wonderful. Room service food not so great for cost and was barely warm when we received it. Ordered a margarita from the bar downstairs (piano area) and it tasted strange. The waitress was nice and traded for something else. We got a great price for the hotel on book.com The front desk girl her name was Solara was so nice and helpful. Also, all of the bell and parking guys were great. I would stay there again at a good price and the food needs work but your staff is wonderful. ~ smiles

The hotel is conveniently located. Our room had a beautiful view, and I enjoyed the comfort it provided for our family, especially with a baby in tow. The amenities were satisfying.
In my wife's opinion, some baby-friendly amenities could be improved, like adding crib availability for convenience.

Staff outstanding except staff at piano/lobby bar should show more personality.

Wonderful low-budget place, it has marvellous location close enough to Amtrak and SAP Ctr, and the Fairmont San Jose. Modern rooms have a nice design. The breakfasts are rich with a wide array of options. Offers excellent service and OUTSTANDING food.

Spacious rooms with a great view!
The space was immaculate and well-equipped with tea and coffee amenities. My only concern was the noise from the bathroom plumbing, a bit distracting at times.
